We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, phone number, email address, farm location, and crop data when you register for FarmPulse. We also collect usage data, device information, and GPS coordinates (with your permission) to provide location-based agricultural services.
Your information is used to: provide personalized crop recommendations and pest alerts; send weather forecasts relevant to your farm location; improve our platform through aggregated, anonymized analytics; communicate service updates and agricultural advisories; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share aggregated, anonymized data with agricultural research institutions and government bodies for food security purposes. We work with trusted service providers (cloud hosting, SMS providers) who process data strictly on our behalf under data processing agreements.
We implement industry-standard security measures including data encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, access controls and authentication requirements, regular security audits, and staff training on data protection. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may request a copy of your data or ask us to stop processing it by contacting us at privacy@farmpulse.co.ke. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
Our web platform uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. You can control cookie settings in your browser, but disabling essential cookies may affect platform functionality.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of FarmPulse after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
